Hot Import Nights is one of those shows that over the years has lost popularity among car enthusiast and is usually held in the Los Angeles Convention Center. This year was different. If you were around the San Pedro area this weekend, you definitely found yourself among hundreds of imports and domestic cars roaming the streets of Downtown San Pedro.
This event was actually pretty successful in comparison to recent years. Maybe it was the different location, or the fact that the event was free for all spectators. Whatever the reason being, it was fun and very family orientated. As I made my way through 6th st, which is where the show was being held, I saw many familiar cars that ive seen in past shows, and surprisingly many new cars that i hadn’t seen yet. This came as a surprise to me because car show season is almost over and by this time every built has made an appearance at least once in the past shows.
Love seeing the different generations of the Mitsubishi Evolutions. You can see the way this model has changed over the years and still remain very popular among tuners.
One of my favorite builds was this Sam Ip’s supercharged yellow NSX on air suspension. Loved everything from the body kit to the white wheel combo, really complimented the yellow.
Now a car show wouldn’t be a car show without beautiful models everywhere! Lets be real for a second here, most of us guys go to the car shows to check out some clean rides, but definitely stay for the girls. Thank you ladies for always showing me love when im making my way around the shows!
The diversity of cars present at the show was great. Many exotics that are always a crowd pleaser, like this Lambo for example.
Beautiful R8 in the show getting lots attention.
People definitely make some awesome modifications to the interiors of these cars. Loved the Buddy Club seats plus Takata harness combo on this EP3 and this one of a kind Air suspension set up in the trunk of this beautiful RSX that was also wrapped in blue.
This 350z from Team DDR was showing off its beautiful paint job, Lamborghini paint job that is.
Here are a few builds that you don’t see everyday. Not sure how i feel about that “debeaded” look on the top built, but it is something different that we cant help but to take notice. Love the Previa van, one of the many builds that ive seen at other car shows but never gets old. Still generates a huge crowd, and still very hard to capture on camera without somebody getting in the way.
VIP cars have reached a new level of uniqueness. With so many VIP cars being built, people go to different extends to stand out, from the extremely expensive body kits, to crazy pattern LED tail lamps. Always look forward to seeing these builds in person.
Hot Import Nights was a succesful show, and look forward to attending again!
