BMW Sauber F1 team 2008 Vs. 2009

- November 18, 2008 - 0

Please say it isn’t true. Look how funny future F1 cars will look. All shrunken, small, ridiculously high and narrow rear wing with old school front wing. At least there will be slick tires. But I won’t complain if the racing will be as different as it is the exterior look. I mean MORE overtaking and MORE action not just racing from start to finish in the same position as we are used in last years.
Besides less down force and slick tires there is another detail which mustn’t be overlooked: mechanical kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) which store the energy from braking and it can be used at acceleration but not for unlimited time. It’s limited to 400kJ per lap and the driver can use extra 80bhp over a period of 6.67 seconds.

Here is the comparison between Sauber BMW F1 team in 2008 and upcoming 2009 car.

In a way, yeah. We’ll see how this thing will work during the race.
